Michelle Carver, BSN, RN, CNN, MBA
Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice President of Nursing and Clinical Services, Fresenius Kidney Care
Michelle Carver brings over 25 years of experience in dialysis nursing care, with 10 years at Fresenius Medical Care specializing in peritoneal and home hemodialysis training and support. Leading a team of over 5,000 employees within Fresenius Kidney Care’s Nursing and Clinical Services, her leadership is instrumental in driving excellence and patient care. A certified nephrology nurse since 2001, Michelle is actively engaged as a member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association and Beta Gamma Sigma (International Business Honor Society). She holds an executive MBA in healthcare administration from Creighton University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dinesh K. Chatoth, MD, FASN
Chief Clinical Officer, Fresenius Kidney Care
Dr. Chatoth joined Fresenius Medical Care in 2016, where he serves as the Chief Clinical Officer for Fresenius Kidney Care and currently chairs the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Previously, he co-chaired the Divisional Medical Advisory Board and served as Associate Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Chatoth previously led Georgia Nephrology as President and CEO. He also worked as Assistant Professor of Medicine and was Director of the Home Dialysis Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Chatoth has collaborated with the KDOQI workgroup for peritoneal dialysis and served on the Technical Expert Panel for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. He holds a medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College, completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center, and finished a nephrology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Anna Chew, MPH, RD, CSR
Vice President of Nutrition Services, Fresenius Kidney Care
Anna Chew joined Fresenius Kidney Care in 2014, where she has the privilege of leading a team of over 2,000 dietitians who provide superior care across the kidney disease continuum. Anna started her career as a dietitian, specializing in acute care and nutrition research. Over her career, her passion for supporting people with kidney disease grew. She is a registered dietitian and a board-certified specialist in renal nutrition. Anna also earned a Master of Public Health in epidemiology from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science in nutrition from California Polytechnic State University—San Luis Obispo.
Lorien S. Dalrymple, MD, MPH
Senior Vice President and Head of Population Health and Medicine, Global Medical Office, Fresenius Medical Care
Dr. Dalrymple has been with Fresenius Medical Care since 2016. In her current role, she leads work related to measuring healthcare quality and reducing health disparities. Prior to joining Fresenius Medical Care, she was an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California Davis. She has served as co-chair for the National Quality Forum Renal Standing Committee and co-chair for the Kidney Health Initiative ESKD Data Standards Project. She has served on Technical Expert Panels for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. A board-certified nephrologist, Dr. Dalrymple holds a medical degree from the University of Colorado and completed her residency in internal medicine and a nephrology fellowship at the University of Washington. She also holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science from Duke University.
Michael Kraus, MD, FACP
Associate Chief Medical Officer, Fresenius Kidney Care
Dr. Kraus has been with Fresenius Kidney Care since 2019 and is widely recognized as a leader in home hemodialysis. Prior to joining Fresenius Kidney Care, Dr. Kraus was the Associate Chief Medical Officer and Senior Medical Advisor for nxStage Kidney Care. Dr. Kraus has been a member of the Renal Physicians Association since 1997, where he has served as a Clinical Practice Committee member since 2020. He has been a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation for more than three decades. Dr. Kraus has worked as Clinical Chief of Nephrology at the Indiana University School of Medicine and as Service Line Chief for IU Health Physicians Kidney Health. He has earned lifetime achievement awards from the National Kidney Foundation and the Sagamore of the Wabash. Dr. Kraus holds a medical degree from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal arts and sciences from Wabash College.
Melissa Silva, MSN, RN, CNML
Vice President of Clinical Engagement Strategies, Fresenius Kidney Care
Melissa Silva joined Fresenius Kidney Care in 2018 with over 20 years of acute care nursing experience. As Vice President of Clinical Engagement Strategies, she oversees employee and patient experiences, including the CARE Award program, clinical support team, patient grievances, and the clinical services resource line. Melissa has held numerous nursing leadership roles, including Director of Immediate and Critical Care Services, and has been an active member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association since 2018. She holds a Master of Science in nursing with a focus on leadership in health systems management, as well as a Bachelor and Associate of Science in nursing, from Rivier University.
Felicia Speed, PhD, LMSW
Vice President of Social Work Services, Fresenius Kidney Care
Dr. Speed joined Fresenius Kidney Care in 1999, where she leads a team of over 2,100 social workers nationwide. With over two decades of experience in nephrology social work, Dr. Speed is committed to empowering patients with kidney failure, helping them enhance their quality of life and address psychosocial barriers. She is active in the industry, sharing her expertise to inspire other healthcare professionals and engaging and educating via speaking engagements and as a podcast host. Dr. Speed holds a doctorate in human services and clinical social work from Walden University, along with a Master of Science in social work from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Science in social work from Winthrop University.
